Frequently Asked Questions
What is Carol’s Retreat?
Carol’s Retreat, opening Fall 2025 in Channelview, Texas, will be a safe and supportive home for pregnant teens, young mothers, adolescent girls, and justice-involved youth. Our programs will offer education, life skills, parenting support, and emotional care to help each young woman heal, grow, and thrive.
Who is Carol?
Carol was the heart of her family and a guiding light to many. Known for her grace, generosity, and unconditional love, she welcomed everyone with open arms. To so many, she was more than a mother or grandmother—she was everyone’s mother and grandmother. Carol’s Retreat was named in her honor to carry forward the warmth, strength, and compassion she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in every young woman we welcome home.
Who will Carol’s Retreat serve?
Carol’s Retreat will support girls ages 11 to 17—including pregnant teens, young mothers, adolescent girls, and justice-involved youth. In a safe and nurturing space, we’ll guide them through life’s challenges with compassion, structure, and support—helping them grow with confidence and hope.
